Jokers

Jokers are special cards that underpin the gameplay of Baratro. Rather than being played in a deck with regular cards, Jokers are purchased in the shop and sometimes stored in a special slot for Jokers until the player sells or discards them. Typically, players start the game with five slots for Jokers, but can lose or buy slots under certain circumstances. Jokers have unique effects that interact with each other, and a powerful combination of Jokers is usually required for a player to beat Hi-Ari's blinds.

As of update 1. 0. 1G-Full, there are 150 Jokers of varying rarities, of which 105 are unlocked from the start and 45 can be unlocked under certain conditions.

Jokers can be improved by one of four different publications, which increase their cost in the shop but add additional effects:

  • Basic (standard card)

  • Holographic (+10 chips)

Rarities [ ]

Jokers come in four rarities that indicate their chances of appearing in this circulation: Common (61 jokers), Uncommon (64 jokers), Rare (20 jokers), Legendary (5 jokers). In general, jobs with higher rarity may be more powerful, but if a joker has no direct analogue with a higher rarity, it is hard to tell if it is "better".

When a joker appears by chance, there is a 70% chance that a normal joker will drop, a 25% chance that an uncommon will drop, and a 5% chance that a rare will drop. The Legendary Joker can only come from the "Spectrum of Soul" cards.

Important Joker Terms [ ]

There are some important terms for the Joker that are crucial to understanding its effect:

  • When Hidden: The effect works when the card is hidden. The effect does not occur if the card has been played but not typed, is not included in the poker hand, or is a debuffed boss blind.
  • Contains: The hand contains the reference hand. For example, a Troik a-kind "contains" a pair even though it is considered a 3 of a kind. A Four of a Kind played with five cards of the same suit "contains" a flush and triggers the effect of a Flush Joker. More information on which hands contain other hands can be found in the information about the hands in the game. Of note, a Four is not considered to "contain" a Two Pair.
  • "Poker hand is a pair" means that the entire hand is an even number, and the played card does not mean a hand with a maximum rank or higher.
  • The effect is activated when the jealousy is selected when selected. If the curtain comes off, it will not be turned on.
  • Inside the deck: The effect is based on the remaining cards of the deck, not the hand, the played card, or the discarded card.
