Popular Poptropican: Lucky Joker
Hello, Poptropican fans!
Poptropican is a series where we interview followers of the Poptropica fandom. We also feature a certain number of interviews with PHB staff, but this time we will talk to Raki Joker!
Raki Joker has been playing Poptropica since 2008 and joined the PHB team in 2016. Since then, he has written more than 200 articles for PHB, including special notes on Poptropica, this one is like "100 years of fashion", funny games, this one is like "Guess this Poptropica"! No wasted text at all!
1. What do you enjoy about blogging with the PHB?
More than anything, I prefer to make a blog about PHB, because in fact I had the honor to share with a wide audience of fans who are passionate about the game, like me, and my own love for Poptropica. For almost five years, exchanging news, criticism, art and discussions with one of our readers has been and will continue to be an important event in my life. And also - a party! It was the invitation to the party that brought me to the Society. Plus, last year, I loved hosting a Tribal Tournament. It was so much fun! Overall, everything coincides with what is the fact that I am pretty grateful to my readers. Without them, there would have been nothing, and as a result, I am grateful to them for actually supporting the blog.
2. What advice would you give to aspiring bloggers or writers in general that you wish you had starting out?
My advice to all blog beginners, try to scribble as hard as your life allows. Find time to scribble often, give up on your readers, but make time for breaks so as not to overload yourself with so many commitments. There were times when I felt very much pressure, and in fact, when I could not justify my own (sometimes high) expectations, I was forced to experience myself as an outsider. Beginner Create everything with your own power, be true, and have fun!
3. What is your favorite island and villain?
My beloved peninsula and villains are not connected, but judging from what I actually see in the fandom, both are quite problematic. I loved Mythical Peninsula (Flash version) every time from the release stage in 2010. This is the first peninsula I played with Hurt Access as a club member and he immediately piqued my interest in Greek mythology. For my favorite villain, I'd pick Raven Ringmaster for a few reasons. His backstory is tragic and the cover is basically unfair to not root for the other villains so you can't help but root for him. Aside from this, I think his design is the best out of all the Poptropica characters.
4. What challenge in the game has been the hardest to complete in your opinion?
Those who have played Poptropica in the past may remember a time when the simple action of returning to the airship after the island was over was not an easy walk. In recent years, Poptropica has made some changes to make such tasks easier, but one of the most difficult tasks I remember was taking used milk to the Merry Rabbit Carrot Farm on the island of 24 carrots. I had to run the damn cat in circles and circles, which took time and was stressful to say the least.
5. What is your favorite feature (still here or gone) from the many years of Poptropica?
There are many great features that make this favorite game special. But for me it is first and foremost the multiverse feature. Being able to meet and fight with fellow Poptropica players in the game is a pleasant difference between the same world of Poptropica and the world of the user. You don't get this feeling in PHB or in the normal common room. This is one of the most enjoyable aspects of the game for many people, so the makers should consider adding this feature back to the game as soon as possible, perhaps after a few islands have been released. 6. What is your favorite Poptropica item?
Wow, favorite thing! This question is hard to answer because there are so many possible options, but I would choose the twirling core from the hypnotist costume. I remember feeling like a Poptropica master when I found the secret item hidden in the early Poptropica. Since then, this outfit has become part of my corporate image, and I only change into it on special occasions, like Halloween, when I wear a suit. Indeed, who is Elja without the Elja point?
7. What is your favorite Poptropica Easter egg/secret/reference?
This may be a refuge, as it is not strictly an answer, but the meta-bump of "Mocktropic Island" seemed to me to be pure gold. There are many references and humorous self-deprecating jokes scattered around the island. Some of the most memorable ones can only be seen in Poptropica's headquarters. Afro-Paul's figurine, the scrapped files from "Monster Carnival", Viva's cult-doctor concept - these are the jokes that this otherwise (in my opinion) forgotten island gave us.
